Music Tutor (Sight-reading) App Reviews

Great app. Im so grateful for being able to nail down my note-reading. Would benefit from a toggle between working with spaces and lines. At the end of the day it does what I was looking for.

If u have trouble with identifying notes on the spot, GET THIS APP! The only issue is that you can move The piano around to change your point of reference (I play marimba, and the first note i learned is Bb) so my point of reference is Bb, while the app forces D to be the first note in the piano. if they made it so the piano was movable, I would give this app 5 stars- no questions asked

It works great to help me practice Bass and Treble Clef notes.

Ive tried several different apps and this is exactly what I was looking for a beginner in learning to read music and play the piano. My favorite elements are the ability to either use a keyboard or the letters to select the answer. I fee that this is so valuable because I was having trouble remembering the keys and the notes at the same time. This way I am able to work them out separately and then put them together. I like the review of the wrong answers because it helps me to know what I need to work on more. One of the best features is the ability to adjust which notes Im working on since Im just starting out and Im only on CDEFG.

Options are 1, 5 or 10 minutes and you cant turn off the time trials. I felt pressure when all I really want to do is improve my familiarity for sight reading. I found Blue Note and its a way better app. No timing, simple, streamlined and way easier to improve your sight reading.

really helped me with my sightreading on piano

I removed trying to learn theory as a piano student and just not doing the book work because it was tedious. This app makes it fun and helps you learn notes on the staff quickly and effectively! My only critique is this annoying noise sounds sort of like a beep that is very distracting. Great app wish I could have used it when I was doing theory lessons.
