Music Tutor (Sight-reading) App Reviews

Distracting/stupid/annoying! Will change review when you fix. This ruins the app for me.

This is a great app for beginners who are learning to read music like myself. Highly recommended!

Im a very experienced guitarist and recently started playing piano. Sheet music is not terribly useful on guitar (we mostly use tablature), so Ive had a hard time getting used to reading piano sheet music. Its a slow process, but this game is really helping me get better at sight reading. I use it to practice whenever Im just killing time.

I wish this app would work in "landscape" format. I use my IPad as a laptop w/keyboard. It would be much simpler.

This app needs three things to be great: 1) horizontal view in iPad 2) two octaves of piano notes so you can press bass notes with left hand and treble notes with right hand 3) chord recognition

I am loving this app, and just started! Learning tons! But I wish that it could have sight reading practice so that I can practice my timing, my notes, and my scales! Please add sight reading practice!

I would definitely recommend this app to any body whos trying to learn how to read music, its great as a refresher, a tutor (as its called) and guide

I was looking for an app which would "gamify" the process of learning quick recall of note names for my student, and this does exactly that. He was especially excited by the progress graphs; it kept making him want to try another time to beat his latest score. It was very easy to select the note I wanted to quiz him on (although it only allows ranges, so you cant, for example, quiz on FACE or EGBDF).

If you need help on remembering your notes and notations-- this is your app!

I do think this is helping me sight read notes better. However, I wish it wasnt just random notes and it would actually sound like music. Its a little tedious… They could make it a lot more fun… But it definitely is helping. I am still new to it… But I dont understand what the points are for. Apparently you can earn points but I dont see that they unlock anything? Maybe I just dont get it.

Good premise but not enough range above the treble staff to be fully useful

Ive gotten SO MUCH BETTER at reading notes with this app. But I wish you could pause and restart your rounds. Other then the Its super good!

Its really good... But not very much user-friendly... And some more cool features can be added..

I just started music class and all my past years they didnt teach us any of this. So when I found a paper in front of me the first day with all these weird symbols and it said read the letters and then put them below the symbol. I was freaking out because I didnt know what to do and my teacher wouldnt help me. I decided to search up something to teach me this. I found this thank you this has helped a lot its a real lifesaver
